Felipe Duarte is an independent copywriter straight from Sergipe, Brazil's smallest state.
He has worked at agencies like Africa DDB, Ogilvy New York, and, most recently, AKQA Amsterdam/São Paulo. Throughout his career, he always had the same goal: to make fun stuff.
In trying to accomplish that, he was featured in The Drum's 2020 "Most Awarded Copywriters" list, having won three lovely Yellow Pencils; helped build a creative department from the ground up, leading global projects for TikTok and Danone; rebuilt Middle East's war-torn monuments on Minecraft for Unesco; questioned how stupid laws around cannabis are for Nowdays; got many "no's" and a couple "yeses" by Shonda Rhymes herself; and some more. Coolest part, though, was that he made a bunch of friends and did not die.
These days, he's still based in the Dam but has started doing his own thing as an independent creative.
