New-York-based-South-African-born-award-winning-multidisciplinary Designer/Creative Director, Ryan Atkinson, is a dyslexic Libra whose optimism is only eclipsed by his inability to write concise and pithy sentences.

His sixteen year career—much like his ADHD-self—has never managed to… just. stay. still. Working (and living) on four continents in six cities. Gainfully employed by companies big and small that include the likes of McCann, Frost*Design, BBDO, R/GA and JKR. Creating work for goated global and local clients like Coca-Cola, Mastercard, Hewlett Packard, Sony, Mtv Africa, Evolved By Nature, KFC, Sydney Dyslexia, Deliveroo, Australian Cancer Research Foundation.

As a kid his dad often told him, "there is no better feeling, than that of achievement" which he took to heart and has—sometimes to his detriment (oh the late nights)—been in pursuit of ever since. So far he's managed to accrue over one hundred local and international awards from organizations that are just swell, like D&AD, Cannes Lions, The One Show, Art Directors Club, and Clios to name just a few.

His love for emerging technologies has seen him dabble in A.I, co-found a Web3 company, launch NFT collections, and help his grandma use her iPhone.

Some of his career highlights include judging at D&AD, raising awareness around Dyslexia with his “Making Sense of Dyslexia” campaign, be rated the #1 Designer in the Middle East and North Africa in 2017 by the BWReport, and pimping his Mom’s garden club invites. Word.
