Stevie is one half of Directing duo “Funtasy Films” with Essy May. Vice Magazine described their style as ‘David Cronenberg directing Wayne's World’. Stevie & Essy are as eager to experiment with classic techniques as they are to tell stories and explore ideas. Stevie has a passion for 2D hand drawn animation.
As an illustrator, Stevie has worked with most of the big agencies with many clients over a 18 year proffessional career. Last year winning AOI World illustration awards overall winner, plus the design and also advertising category as well as a D&AD yellow pencil for his work with Stella McCartley and Adidas.
He has exhibited his artwork worldwide in New York, Berlin, Bali, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and London. He is known for his offbeat humour, goofy character design especially in the worlds of motorcycles, skateboarding, surfing and music. He has worked with lots of fun people over the years including Vans, Adidas, Patagonia, The BBC, The Guardian, Absolut, Paul Smith, Stella McCartney, Deus Ex Machina, Cinelli, Penguin books, Ray Ban, Nike, Lacoste as well as stuff for lots of bands, skateboard and record companies.
