Looks Like Me, founded by Casting Director Selma Nicholls, raises the profile of underrepresented people in mainstream content. Looks Like Me is a globally recognised and celebrated Casting business that specialises in enabling businesses to have inclusive communications.
Motivated by her daughter Riley-Ann, who questioned her own identity (at three years old) due to the limited visibility of children that looked like her on billboards, theatre shows, the big screen, magazines and within advertising content during 2015. Selma decided to create the change she wanted children and the world to see. Setting up Looks Like Me with a commitment to provide diverse and inclusive castings and content creation.
Selma is an award-winning casting director, presented with the Best Casting Featuring Children in Commercials from the Casting Directors Association and Arts and Media Leader from the Black British Business Award. To date Looks Like Me has worked with businesses as inclusive as LEGO, Disney, Tesco, George Asda, Dove, Google and Grammy award winning video Brown Skin Girl by Beyonce. Selma is a probationary member of the Casting Directors Guild and on the Board of Casting Directors Association.
