Roberto Vilhena is the Artplan Group Chief Creative Officer. Artplan is a Brazilian independent agency located in Rio de Janeiro. It is in the top 20 biggest agencies in Brazil. He manages a creative team of approximately 100 people in Rio, São Paulo and Brasilia. Established as a non traditional agency, Artplan developed projects beyond advertising like Rock in Rio Festival, the biggest music festival in the world. He also works for clients like Domino’s, TIM, Amil ( United Health), Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, British Petroleum, Caixa Brazilian Bank and Brazilian Ministry of Tourism.
He began his career 19 years ago as a copywriter. An Advertising graduate, he also holds a MBA in Marketing and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Roberto won many national and international awards including a graphite pencil at D&AD in 2015. He was member of many advertising festivals juries including Rio de Janeiro Creative Club, Lusos Awards and El Ojo.
He taught Copywriting and Strategy for a long time in advertising graduation courses in Brazil. Roberto also taught Rhetoric and Logic to ex-prisoners in a Brazilian NGO, AfroReggae.
