Michelle Phillips studied at the university of Brighton and graduated in 2008. She founded Studio Yukiko in 2012 with Johannes Conrad in Berlin. The studio focuses on editorial and branding for cultural and commercial clients as well as digital and campaign projects. Yukiko has art directed Cura, Year Zero, Sleek, Libertine and Zeit Leo. Michelle is also a founding member and Art Director of Flaneur and Sofa Magazine. Last year Michelle was awarded Art Director of the Year at the Stack Awards for Flaneur Magazine, which also took Magazine of the Year award. She has been previously recognised at D&AD, Lead Awards and Type Directors Club NY.
