Astrid is a globally recognised and awarded creative director with over two decades of leadership in design. Her work is characterised by powerful ideas, exceptional craft and deep engagement with the content and audience. She works as a designer and consultant with a wide range of global clients in the cultural and commercial sectors to create beautiful, meaningful and memorable work.
Prior to founding her design studio, she was a partner at Pentagram and co-founder of the design agency Atlas. In 2015, Atlas won a D&AD pencil for the most awarded design agency in the world. Client experience includes Camper, Vitra, Tate, Phaidon, Wallpaper*, National Portrait Gallery, Acciona, Mahou San Miguel, Reina Sofia Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Laurence King, Cahiers du Cinéma, Barcelona Design Museum, Elephant magazine, PORT magazine and the Stauffer Center for Strings amongst many others.
Her work has been widely published and has received over 150 international awards. She regularly judges international design competitions and gives lectures around the world.
Astrid is the President of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD), a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and forms part of the St. Bride Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board of the Scuola Politecnica di Design (Milano). She is a Visiting Lecturer at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and the Royal College of Art.
