Stanish is an explorer, a helper, a dad, and a maker. He founded Ground Control in 2013 and has since helped clients produce high calibre Film, Animation and Photography. He is interested mostly in the essence of humanity. While he focusses really intensely on quality of work, he is most concerned at making sure everyone is feeling good about themselves and the work they do.
At 40 he realised, despite common misconception that a 40yo can do anything, so he learned how to skateboard. Now he can ollie and drop in on a fairly big ramp or bowl. He now spends a lot of his time encouraging people to do stuff they thought they weren't able to.
He’s produced short films selected for Tribeca and NY Film Festival, contributed to ads that have received Cannes Lions Grand Prix, and most recently presented at his daughters’ school about what producers do. He claims that was his most stressful pitch presentation to date. He did get quite a big round of applause and a thumbs up from his daughters. He followed up by saying, “Actually, it was probably the proudest I’ve been of any presentation.”
