Ricardo Jones started his career as an illustrator in an art studio before becoming creative in an advertising agency. During his fifteen years working in the ad industry, Jones would often take over small projects experimenting with photography, sculpture, drawings, stop motion, and eventually directing.
The passion for filmmaking took over and in 2010 he left the agency side to become a full-time director, leading projects as Nike Addiction, Leica 100, and Bodyform Blood, Ikea Win at Sleeping among others. Together with his partner Tino, Ricardo won the most important awards in the advertising industry such as Yellow Pencils, over 15 Lions including the first Cannes Lion Grand Prix in Film for Brazil. He is also a co-founder and partner at Stink São Paulo.
Jones was born in Rio de Janeiro and is married, with Gabriela. They have two kids, Rafa and Kiko.
