June Mineyama-Smithson (MAMIMU) is a London-based Japanese artist, graphic designer, and 2021 D&AD Awards Judge. She a lecturer at London College of Communication, UAL and a speaker at Culture Mile, ustwo, New Designers, Birmingham Design Festival, and Design Manchester.
With a background in branding, she has worked internationally at Wolff Olins, Moving Brands, and Eight Partnership on world-leading brands such as PwC, LVMH, and Cathay Pacific.
Her interest in combining art and science to find the ‘Optimum Optimism’ led to a collaboration with neuroscientist Dr Tara Swart, creating on-screen idents for ITV.
