With over 17+ years’ experience working within the advertising and design industry, Nene is a Creative Director, primarily an Art Director specializing in idea conception, digital campaign idea generation, art direction and UI design. She has worked brands such as Wall Street Journal, Disney, L’Oréal, HP, Warner Bros, Jaguar, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Visa, Samsung and Vodaphone amongst many others. Her experience crosses both agency and client side including Ogilvy, Inferno, MC Saatchi, JWT, Wunderman, Digitas LBI, Publicis, DDB (adam&Eve) and BBDO.
For these brands and agencies, Nene created and crafted digital and online advertising campaigns, traditional and digital billboard designs, branding and rebranding of these brands subsidies, designed websites for product launches in various international countries; designed user interfaces as well as art direct and manage creative teams on photoshoots and videoshoots.
Nene now runs VINE Creatives, a visual communication, brand strategy and investment agency; which works for and with scale-ups, entrepreneurs and businesses run by the Afro-Caribbean diaspora and with companies with an African focus.
VINE Creatives help brands with their visual positioning to enter either the western or African market ensuring that the brand look and feel, messaging and visuals are all in line with the brands target audience. As well as work closely with business investors, and understands what they expect to see in investment presentations and pitches.
She is also co-founder of WeAreStripes, a career progression initiative for creating opportunities for ethnic diverse talent covering sectors including advertising, visual effects and animation, gaming social and digital. It also acts as a consultancy for empowering companies to move towards achieving their DEI company goals and targets. She is also a Non-Executive Director for AccessVFX.
Nene has previously judged for Industry Craft Jury for the Cannes International Festival of Creativity. Both the Professional D&AD and New Blood Awards and the Eurobest Awards.
