Ryosuke Uehara

Art Director who previously worked at the Japanese graphic design company DRAFT and established KIGI in the Daikanyama district of Tokyo in 2012, with Yoshie Watanabe. Uehara is known for his sensitive and meticulous art direction deriving from his logical bent.
While working for various clients in Japan, he started developing a large number of leading products for the D-BROS brand launched by DRAFT. His direction work for the brand, which probes new products from the perspective of graphic design, has become one of his representative achievements.
Among their D-BROS products, one of the most successful has been “hope forever blossoming”: a line of vinyl flower vases of his design that has continued to mark robust sales globally since its launch in 2003, winning him fans all around the world. In 2014, KIGI established new products brand named "KIKOF". While working across the entire spectrum of creative genres, he continued to pursue and create new possibilities in graphics.
