Saki Bergh was born in South Africa, grew up in Namibia and currently lives in Cape Town, South Africa with his wife and two sons.
He has been a film editor for over two decades. Though he knew he wanted to be involved in making films since he could remember, Saki's path was non-linear. Before attending film school, he studied industrial psychology, accountancy and even extraction metallurgy. He also worked as a security guard, as a barman and was fired as a waiter because he didn’t smile enough.
The stars finally aligned and after film school, Saki finally started working as an editor. By 2006, Saki and business partner Jacqui Pearson started Left Post Productions. Left quickly grew to become one of the top post production companies in South Africa with offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Left primarily edits and finishes high-end commercials. Since 2006, Saki has worked on major local and international brands and has won numerous local and international awards.
Creatively, one of the most rewarding projects Saki does on an on-going basis is collaborate with and edit music videos for South African band Die Antwoord. The music video views average in the millions on YouTube.
