Previous to that Kate was Marketing Director of The Guardian, navigating The budiness towards financial sustainability, developing the brand strategy to support a rapidly evolving business model. In September 2019, The Guardian launched a new brand idea and line 'Hope is Power'. This was anchored in the strong mission of The Guardian's journalism and built on the idea that the clarity and imagination of The Guardian's reporting builds hope for change.
Throughout her career Kate has had a desire to work with creative people who want to challenge traditional ideas about marketing and find new ways to create interesting work - seeking like-minded organisations with real purpose and energy to try to make a difference.
Prior to working at Wildfarmed and The Guardian she has worked on a number of high profile campaigns in brand marketing roles at Odeon and the Zoological Society London.
In her work she has collaborated with brilliant creatives, developing and growing in-house teams and working with inspiring agencies.
An advocate of cognitive diversity and challenging the industry to find new ways to broaden the way we think about creativity in all forms, Kate is proud to be part of diversity and inclusion groups pushing this agenda forward.
