Renato Simoes is Executive Creative Director at W+K Sao Paulo.
He graduated in Social Communications and began his career in the advertising business back in 1993, as a Copywriter.
Renato has worked for a variety of agencies across Brazil, including F/Nazca S&S, Leo Burnett, Fischer, and Salles DMB&B (now Publicis), some of the most important and creative in the country.
In 2006, he joined AlmapBBDO as a Senior Copywriter, making it to Executive Creative Director a few years later. He stayed there until January 2015, when he moved to W+K Sao Paulo.
Renato’s work has earned him the most coveted prizes in the advertising industry. As a copywriter, he has won nineteen Cannes Lions; more recently, he has received thirty Cannes Lions for his work as a Creative Director. He’s also been awarded accolades at various festivals, ranging from the D&AD and the One Show to the Clio Awards.
