Gin Godden
- VFX Producer (Production side)
- United Kingdom
Gin’s career journey began in front of the cameras, most remarkably ending up on the sets of George Lucas & Luc Besson. It wasn’t long before her curiosity pulled her behind the camera, launching a dynamic career that spans live-action production, animation, VFX, and emerging technologies.
Starting in live action production on music videos and commercials, Gin progressed to producing animated TVCs with the studio Not To Scale, where she was part of the D&AD award-winning team behind the British Airways “Attractive Prices” campaign. She went on to become a VFX Producer working on TVCs and interactive projects at the Mill. Highlights of her time there include the Cannes Lions Grand Prix winning “Knife Crime: Choose a Different Ending,” which secured the Cannes Lions inaugural Grand Prix for Good.
Gin’s career evolved at Smoke & Mirrors where she oversaw innovative campaigns like the first fully immersive digital installation at Euston Station for Jaguar Land Rover. Following this she went on to become Head of Production at Prime Focus Commercials. Gin was also tasked with developing the animation & VFX studio Craft at McCann Advertising before another stint at The Mill focussing on emerging immersive technologies & automotive.
Currently, Gin is back in production, working in HETV & Film, leading the VFX department on shows for Netflix, Disney & Sky. She is a voluntary Industry Advisor for Ravensbourne University where she supported the D&AD shortlisted “Nuff Said LDN” collective, & is an advocate for greater inclusion in the industry with XVFX at Access:VFX. Gin is also a member of BAFTA.
