Lara Mendonça was born in Brazil in 1991. She's a design leader, educator and ethicist, currently based in London. She studied Visual Communication Design at the School of Fine Arts of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, but dropped out right before graduating. She's currently getting a Masters degree in User Experience at the London College of Communication of the University of the Arts London.
Lara is interested in design theory, ethics and education, and has contributed through talks, publications and interviews. She believes we need better design practices to change our relationship to technology.
In the last 11 years, she has designed across many disciplines, including interaction, brand identity, motion, editorial, advertising and illustration. She has worked for companies like Bumble, Wise, HSBC, Mitsubishi, Sky & Globosat. She also founded Mischief Studio.
These days, she's a Senior Manager of Product Design at Twitter.
