Matt Wade

Matt’s work examines the way we read and create relationships with objects and spaces.
He studied Design at Goldsmiths and Adaptive Architecture and Computation at the Bartlett. On graduating Matt spent 3 years at Imagination, Europe’s largest independent design agency, followed by 4 years as Design Director at Moving Brands.
He co-founded research and design studio Kin in 2008 with Kevin Palmer. Their work is built around a fascination with the way people interact with the world around them.
Over the last 6 years, Kin have delivered over 500 projects working for a diverse range of clients from electronics giants, to fashion labels, to leading museums. They have close connections with academia, through teaching, as external examiners and with research projects.
Kin’s work has featured many times in the Design Press, in exhibitions and leading institutions, such as the Barbican, the BFI and the Design Museum and has won numerous awards including a D&AD Yellow Pencil.
