A social media marketing pioneer, Akanksha is the founder of Socialize; Middle East’s first specialist social media agency.
Founded in 2010, she built Socialize into an early leader in the space, with specialist talent from around the world, an integrated offering across creative, media, tech and developing proprietary tools like FrontRow - a first-of-its-kind directory for Arab influencers. This first mover advantage was a catalyst for the agency’s growth, making it one of the largest independent agencies in the region.
In 2018, Akanksha joined forces with global socially-led creative agency network, We Are Social, following their acquisition of a majority stake in the agency. Today, she continues to lead Socialize in her role of CEO, overseeing team, brand and strategic product development in addition to being a part of We Are Social’s global board, driving growth for the network’s across MEA & India.
Named as one of the “Top 25 Innovators in Asia Pacific” by the Holmes Report, Akanksha started her career working across India & Singapore, as the youngest ever Editor-in-chief for STUFF Magazine and helped organize Asia's first-ever pod-camp before moving to the Middle East where she is widely recognized as a business influencer, social media speaker and amongst AdAge’s ‘Women to watch in the GCC’.
