Andy started composing for adverts by chance. He was in a band and toward the end of their signing with Virgin Records, they got the chance to pitch on a Mcdonald’s ad, which they won.
They approached Director, Tony Kaye, who had shot a couple of music video for his band in the late 80’s. When their first job literally kicked them off to an award-winning start with a D&AD for a Nike ad, ‘Can you kick it?’ in 1992, Andy knew he had fallen in love with composition to music to picture.

His partnership with Michelle Curran and Nick Amour at Amber Music was an important and prolific time of his career. For 15 years they worked together on hugely successful original composition and sound design for the top agencies and globally award-winning advertising Campaign’s…….Nike,Coke,Mercedes, Audi amongst many other brands across all sectors.
‘I’m lucky to say there are few agencies and brands I haven’t had the privilege to compose for’.
When the partnership came to a natural conclusion, Andy set up Population Music with his Creative Partner at the time, until he eventually decided to branch out on his own and with a boutique Music Production Studio, Soundfly Music.
Andy’s friendships and successful working relationship in the industry have always allowed the work to flow easily and he enjoyed several great years working on brands like Nokia, Orange, VW, Mercedes, Diet Coke as well as co-composing 22 albums of library music under the title ‘Twisted’ for Extreme Music.
An RSA job for FCB Health came up in NY back in 2014. It was then he realized how much he loved being back in the US and the drive kicked in to revive his career stateside.
Initially looking for someone to manage his US jobs, he approached Jay and Ian and Dan at The Elements Music + Sound, guys who had joined Amber at the end of Andy’s time as a partner. Together they won a big Porsche job, soon becoming a preferred supplier for Cramer Krasselt in Chicago for their Porsche account.
In The Elements Music + Sound, he found the kind of ambition and vision that was always at his core.

Scoring for brands including Samsung, Dyson, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, NBC Superbowl spots year on year and winning awards for Samsung’s VR wearing ‘Ostrich’ and original composition for Rankin Studio, Andy continues to attack every project with passion and dedication as The Elements Music continues to grow and develop.
