Hello! I'm Bruno Oppido, known to many as Oppido, a 39-year-old art director fueled by a deep passion for graphic design.
For nearly a decade, I served as an art director at F/Nazca Saatchi&Saatchi, a pivotal chapter in my career where I earned my first international awards, including the prestigious Cannes Lions' Film Grand Prix. At F/Nazca, I collaborated with renowned brands such as Nike, Leica, and Ambev, earning recognition as the third most awarded art director globally in the AdAge report. Additionally, I had the privilege of working with the Pinacoteca museum on impactful campaigns for artists like Ron Mueck and Andy Warhol.
My journey continued at DDB NY, where I took on the role of Head of Art, leading the team to secure major accounts such as Time Warner Cable and Huawei. Our accomplishments included winning 5 Cannes Lions, and I had the unique opportunity to be a judge for D&AD. Crafting Kobe Bryant's retirement letter remains one of the highlights of my career during my time in New York.
In 2017, I returned to Brazil as the Head of Art and Creative Director for Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo. Together, we achieved the office's first Cannes Lions, making it the third most awarded independent agency globally. Memorable campaigns for Nike, such as Brasileiragem, and groundbreaking work for Old Spice contributed to our success.
After a fulfilling three years at Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo, I ventured to Berlin as an ECD/Head of Art, contributing to projects like the Kia Global Rebrand, Anne Frank House, and the Festival of Animation Berlin.
Following the birth of my son Francisco, I returned to Brazil, embarking on a cherished dream—co-founding the art direction studio, PLANT, with my longtime friends João Linneu and Paula Obata. Over the initial three years, we collaborated on projects for renowned brands such as Vans, Puma, Instagram, DC Comics, United Nations, (re)boot and more, thanks to the incredible talent within our team.
Alongside the arrival of my second son, João, in 2023, I was honored to be invited once again to the D&AD jury. Furthermore, I fulfilled a lifelong dream by creating the first collaborative annual of the Brazilian Creative Club as an art director. This journey has been an exhilarating blend of creativity, collaboration, and continuous growth.
