Spencer has worked alongside some of the UK advertising industry’s most creative and successful figures in his 20-year career. He cut his teeth working for two of London’s legendary creatives in Dave Trott and Geoffrey Seymour. Several years later, he moved into feature production, progressing from Runner to Production Assistant and Assistant Director on a number of seminal UK films, including Bridgette Jones’ Diary, Dirty Pretty Things, Vera Drake, Charlotte Gray and East is East.
In 2001, Spencer joined Gorgeous Enterprises, the most awarded production company in the world. During the 10 years he spent there, Spencer worked on some of the UK’s biggest TV commercials, for brands including Barclays, Hovis, HSBC, Master Card, VW, Mercedes, Lexus, Sky, Heinz, McDonalds, Sony, Nike and Shell.
Spencer joined The Sweet Shop in 2011, and has quickly established the company amongst the UK’s best production companies, picking up awards at all the major awards shows alongside various other accolades. In 2016 Televisual Magazine ranked The Sweet Shop 16th overall, while UK industry site David Reviews ranks the company amongst its Top 5.
