Peter holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics and Literature. He started as a language teacher to political refugees and working as a freelance journalist. At 29, he moved to the advertising world, aiming to make it less about advertising and more about authenticity.
Now, he's one of Europe's leading creative directors, known for his strong sense of purpose and a focus on innovative thinking. His track record includes 45 Cannes Lions and 21 Effie Awards. Peter received a Special Award in 2016 for his creative leadership in turning around DDB Brussels. He wrote the first handbook for case study movies and co-authored 'Great Minds Think Unalike' on the strengths of neurodivergent minds, with 3,000 copies sold to date. In 2024 his agency AKQA Brussels was the first Belgian agency to win the title of Agency Of The Year, Creative Agency and Digital Creative Agency in the same year.
