After levelling up my childhood on the home video games of the 1980's, I discovered a secret warp that transported me to the wondrous kingdom where they are created. Turning down a safe and respectable vocation in banking, I joined Rare in 1989 as a game tester and somehow managed to become the studio's first dedicated game designer. Since then, I've worked on and creatively guided a diverse range of games; including the coin-operated arcade version of Battletoads, Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, Banjo-Kazooie on the Nintendo 64, Viva Piñata on the Xbox 360, Kinect Sports for the Xbox 360 Kinect sensor and Sea of Thieves for Xbox One and PC. Currently I am on a journey of magical discovery crafting Rare's next game, Everwild.
