Damilola Marcus is Co-founder and Executive Art Director at Dá Design Studio, Lagos. Dá Design Studio creates & maintains impactful brand identities for some of the most socially and economically progressive companies in West Africa.
Damilola graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Lagos and has a Master’s degree in Environmental Design. She specializes in design strategy and she was awarded Design Contemporary for 2014 by African Artists' Foundation. In 2019, along with other amazing women, she was featured in Tech Cabal's Tech Women Lagos for her design contributions to the Nigerian technology scene. Throughout her career, Damilola has won design competitions, given design talks for organizations like the British Council, exhibited as a visual artist, and has been featured in design and art platforms locally and internationally.
She has a strong passion for social work and justice which reflects in Market March, an initiative she founded to combat sexual harassment and bullying at Nigerian markets. Their work has been featured on international and local media like BBC, DW News, The Guardian, etc. She was nominated for Young Person of the Year at The Future Awards Africa 2019 for her work in gender justice.
