- United Kingdom
Darren Smith has worked extensively as an award-winning designer, art director, illustrator, journalist, editor and creative director. He is the content director for Bridge Studio, a strategic branded content agency at News UK, publishers of The Times & Sunday Times, The Sun, and Wireless Radio. Darren wrote and directed the viral poem You Clap For Me Now, which celebrated the contribution of first-, second- and third-generation immigrant key workers during the global pandemic. The film amassed over 300 million views and was selected by the United Nations as one of its key messages of kindness and solidarity.
Since then Darren has co-founded Studio PI, a photography and illustration agency that only represents artists from underrepresented backgrounds in the industry: women, people of colour, people living with disabilities and people from working class origins.
