Paula Minelgaite
- United Kingdom
Paula Minelgaitė MA (RCA) is the founding director/designer of Minelgaite studio, a multidisciplinary research, design, and publishing practice. The studio's design practice predominantly involves print, editorial, environmental and visual identity projects. Paula operates both independently and as a bespoke team of collaborators, depending on the requirements of a project. The list of clients includes Dim Mak Records, William Hall studio, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Royal College of Art, ACED, DSDHA, and Fikra Biennial.
The studio's research aspect is concerned with the politics of truth, broadly examining the role of design in constructing 'truths' and the consequences of that. Through subjects that are in the news, Paula uses a combination of journalism and graphic design to deconstruct, and then highlight the contradictions as well as complexities of issues at hand.
Minelgaite studio also operates as a small-scale publisher and engages people with subject matter using the mediums of publications, typefaces, and face-to-face engagement.
