Laurène Girbal is a French type and graphic designer who has a strong passion for scripts, logotypes, and lettering. After spending two years in digital graphic design, she transitioned to freelance work with renowned type foundries. Shortly thereafter, she collaborated closely with Colophon Foundry for several years. In 2024, Laurène joined Monotype.
Over the years, she has created and developed custom typefaces and logotypes for a wide range of clients, from independent businesses to global brands. In 2023, she launched her own lively script project and released her typeface, Avril, at Blaze Type. As a true enthusiast of typography, she enjoys taking on challenging projects that involve unusual briefs and large character sets.
