Hello, I’m the Chief Creative Officer for what3words – the global address system that has given every 3m square a unique address of 3 random words. I’m lucky to work with the wonderful thinkers, makers, marketers, commercial, and product people who create the what3words brand story. We’re making the world a safer, more efficient and easier place for everyone in over 56 languages.
My global perspective has been shaped by making locally relevant work for international brands, living on 3 continents, learning integrated brand storytelling in award-winning agencies, building a brilliant in-house studio in a tech start-up, and championing inclusive creativity.
Prior to my current role I was Worldwide Creative Director at Ogilvy London and Global Creative Director adam&eveDDB, leading creative for Dove, Philips, and Unilever brands. I’ve lived and worked in Johannesburg, Toronto and London, and my work has run in more countries than I’ll ever be able to visit.
I love creating brands that people like and remember, the best being Diamond Shreddies, the most famous cereal campaign ever which ended up in advertising textbooks, business books, TED Talks, and spoof videos.
I’ve won awards for every company I’ve worked with, including Grand Prix and Gold (even Silver) at almost every international award show including D&AD, Cannes, One Show, Clios, London International, and in almost every category including integrated campaign, innovation, product design, effectiveness, and even web banners.
I’ll always want to be a cartoonist and can draw a decent Thank You card.
