Mieko Kusano

Mieko Kusano is Senior Director of Design at Sonos, with current focus on Design Strategy. She founded Design and Product Management groups at Sonos, where she has worked since 2003. Her goal is to make products that combine music, technology and design into intuitive yet expressive solutions, that are built to last.
Prior to Sonos, Mieko was VP of Product Management at Invention Machine, where she migrated the product offering to a cloud-based solution. Mieko started her career at Philips Design, where she became a Design Director, specializing in leading design teams in the creation of new experiences for multimedia and portable computing platforms.
Mieko graduated Cum Laude from Delft University of Technology with a Masters in Industrial Design in 1994. She currently is on the IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) Board of Directors as At-Large Director.
