Rob Galluzzo
- CEO & Executive Producer
- Australia
Rob is the Executive Producer and CEO of FINCH, one of the leading production companies in Australia and New Zealand. FINCH’s work won the very first SDG Grand Prix for The Lion's Share, many Cannes Gold Lions and the first Branded Entertainment Lion, two D&AD Black Pencils, one White and many Yellow Pencils, Grands Prix at The New York Festivals, LIA, Spikes Asia and the Grand Lotus for Humanity at Adfest in Asia. FINCH’s work has also been nominated for an Oscar, several Emmys, an AACTA award and an ARIA award.
Rob was Jury President of Film Craft Cannes Lions Festival, and has sat on juries for Dubai Lynx, Ciclope Festival, D&AD, One Show Award, Spikes Asia, LIA, LLB’s Immortal Awards, AdWeek, Project Issac, Axis Awards, and AWARD Award.
Rob Galluzzo delivered closing remarks as part of The Lion's Share launch event at the opening of the UN General Assembly in 2018. The Lion's Share is a charitable initiative he co-founded with the UNDP and Christopher Nelilus in order to draw together the worlds of conservation and advertising.
Rob is the co-founder of Songbird Studios, an independent production company producing creatively ambitious documentaries. He has Executive Produced longform content, including the branded documentary Losing Lena, and the bushfire documentary A Fire Inside, My Sister Liv, Girls Can’t Surf, Red Hill, Machine, as well as being instrumental in the production of Netflix’s genre-defining documentary series Chef’s Table. Rob is on the Board of Directors for The Liv Project, a non-profit organisation for the prevention of youth suicide and The Minderoo Foundation - Fire and Flood Resilience.
Rob is also the co-founder of Nakatomi, a technology innovation company led by imagination. Rob was the force behind an ALS voice cloning program that aimed to give back speech to those suffering from ALS, a project which won the Grand Prix for good at Cannes Lions and a Black Pencil at D&AD.
Rob’s passion for innovation, and the lack of technology classes at his daughter’s school, inspired Rob to co-found Creatable, an education disruptor that aims to solve the lag between industry and education around the globe. Creatable’s initiative in Burundi involves teaching students science and technology through real-world solutions, such as how to make The Rocket Stove, a life-saving device that was adopted both by community on the ground, and as policy by the Burundi’s Ministry of Education.
In 2024 Rob co-found a groundbreaking initiative, 36 Months with Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, with the aim to change government policy to raise the age threshold for social media citizenship. Within six months of tireless advocacy by 36 Months, the Australian labour government passed the social media ban for under-16’s.
Rob hopes that the world will be filled with more compassion and imagination, something he’s injected into the company's DNA.
