Sascha is Chief Creative Officer and Co-Owner of independent German creative agency häppy.
Having learnt his trade as a copywriter in the late 90s in Düsseldorf, Sascha headed north to Hamburg, rising from Creative Director to Chief Creative Officer of Jung von Matt/Elbe. Over the course of 10 years, he created award winning campaigns for major national and international brands, notably BMW, Bosch, 1&1/United Internet, and Mercedes-Benz.
Following on from winning Germany’s first ever Titanium/Integrated Lion with the ground-breaking “Dortmund Concert Milk” project, Sascha moved across town to Kolle Rebbe (now Accenture Song) where he led creative projects for innovative brands such as o2/Telefonica, Hansgrohe, 3M, Misereor and global tea giant, Hälssen & Lyon.
A deep-rooted ambition to create a new kind of agency founded on the restless pursuit of happiness, led Sascha to launch häppy in 2020.
Sascha´s work has been recognized at all the major award shows around the world. He is a multiple Cannes Lions-, D&AD-, LIA-, Clio- and iF Design-Awards winner and jury member. Flying the flag for German creativity, he also plays a leading role as a board member and jury chairman for the ADC (Art Directors Club of Germany) – the country’s preeminent creative association.
A life without music is unimaginable for the now 48-year-old. Since 2014, Sascha heads the ADC Germany jury for music & sound design and performs as a regular speaker & moderator at the Reeperbahnfestival, Germany's largest platform for the music industry and digital creativity. Outside of advertising Sascha produces music himself – highest chart entry #31. To this day, rumors persist that Sascha is a lifelong fan of British synth-pop duo, Pet Shop Boys…
