Born in Tokyo in 1974. Dropped out of Musashino Art University, Department of Sculpture. In 1995, while in university, established a company named “neo standard graphics” and began work as graphic designer and art director. In 2000, established a design studio named “Bluemark” and created graphic, web, product and other designs. Engaged in various activities including publishing, café management. In 2011, dissolved Bluemark and started a new studio “Atsuki Kikuchi Ltd.” .
In particular, he engaged in establishing the visual identities of museums and fashion brands as well as designing magazines and books. Led an alternative book label named “Book Peak” and did planning and publishing of art books. His works are collected at Pompidou Centre, Museum of Design in Zürich and others. About a Hundred of his works including posters, sculptures and books are collected in Aomori Museum of Art where he created its visual identity. His first collection book “Play” was published in 2009.
