Bill Tai is Co-founder Chairman of Treasure Data, a Board Director of Bitfury and Hut8 (TSE:HUT8), and among the first seed investors in Canva, Wish.com and Zoom Video. Early in his career, he was issued badge #A001 at TSMC (NYSE:TSM), now among the most valuable tech companies in the world. Later he was founding CEO of iAsiaWorks (IPO via Goldman & Morgan Stanley) and founding Chairman of IPInfusion (Tokyo:4813).
He has served as Board Director of 8 publicly listed companies AWRD EGHT HUT8 IAWK NPIX TMTA TUNE and IMGO. Originally trained as a computer chip designer (BSEE Honors, Illinois), he later earned an MBA at Harvard and was granted a PhD from Curtin University where he is an Adjunct Professor focued on "Innovation and Economic Development".
He serves as Chairman of 501(c)3 ACTAI Global - uniting Athletes Conservationists Technologists Artists & Innovators to bring community and knowledge capital to causes supporting conservation and economic empowerment via entrepreneurship.
