Jose Maria is an award winning Art Director. His work has been showcased in exhibitions in more than 24 countries by the Type Directors Club and his work can be found in publications such as the Typography 38’. His experiences range from creating spaces for galleries such as the HG Contemporary in Chelsea, New York to non-profit campaigns such as the Project Happy for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. He has been interviewed by SVA, P3 and Meios & Comunicaçâo. Recently he has collaborated with Nam Sam Show Room to create viral content for the Lipunderpoint & Whitesands Spring/Summer 2018 Lookbooks.
Neves has won the Best in Show for the Type Directors Club 2017, has had two shortlisted campaigns for the Future Lions 2017 and has recently been awarded a pencil for the D&AD New Blood 2018 competition.
Born in Sao Miguel in the Azores Islands, Jose has studied in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon and has spent a summer in Central Saint Martins in London before joining the School of Visual Arts with the Silas H. Rhodes Scholarship where he graduated with honors in May, 2018
