José Luis has 30 years of experience in advertising.
Winner of the first Cannes Lion for Peru with Procter & Gamble (P&G).
José Luis had international experience as Creative Director at Leo Burnett in Miami, Puerto Rico and Chicago working for P&G US hispanic market and helping Gain Detergent become a $1 billion brand.
He has won awards such as the Cannes Lions, D&AD, London Festival, FIAP, El Sol, New York Festival, Effie Latam and Ojo de Iberoamerica.
In 2008 he returned to Peru and founded Circus, the number 1 agency in the local market, where he was Creative Director.
In 2013 he founded CARNE (Grey's second agency in Peru). Carne grew 5 times its size in just 4 years and in 2016 won the first Grand Effie LATAM for Peru.
His client APU Cement was chosen as one of the most powerful brands in Effie Global, alongside iconic brands such as Apple and Nike.
Now José Luis has been CEO at Circus Gray since 2022 and this year, working alongside his client UNACEN he won 8 Cannes Lions, including a Grand Prix and 4 Golds with Sightwalks Project.
