Tatsuya Ariyama

Born in Saitama, Japan in 1966. After graduating from the Department of Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, he studied under editorial designer Nobuo Nakagaki and joined Nakagaki Design Office. Established his own studio Ariyama Design Store in 1993. He has worked as a designer, binding artist, and art director, focusing on editorial design (books and magazines). He has designed more than 1,000 books and magazines and has been involved in the launch and renewal of numerous magazines as art director and designer, including "ku:nel" (Magazine House). He is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, and a lecturer at MeMe Design School.
