Kazuhiro Shimura is revolutionizing the creative field as a new type of creative professional specializing in digital and innovation. With a background in biotechnology, he started his career at Dentsu. He joined the Toyota Future Mobility Development Division and was involved in the development of "i-ROAD", the three-wheeled electric vehicle and its mobility-related services. He has successfully designed innovative solutions for clients' businesses using technology and data, besides creating successful campaigns.
In recent years, he has been working on AI-based creative projects, including "TUNA SCOPE", the world's first AI that judges tuna quality, which has transcended the advertising industry and taken the world by storm as an innovation in the fishing industry. In 2022, he developed "Voice Watch", an AI that generates live commentary of sports games for the visually impaired, which won the ‘Best of Discipline’ at the NY ADC.
As a Creative Director, Kazuhiro has received numerous international awards including Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, D&AD, NY ADC, LIA, New York Festivals, and Grand Prix at Spikes Asia and ADFEST. He has also judged at Cannes Lions, One Show, Spikes Asia, and ADFEST, and has spoken on stages at numerous global conferences, including Cannes Lions.
