Brian is currently Executive Creative Director at Media Arts Lab Shanghai, Apple’s bespoke agency, overseeing the Greater China market. His latest Shot on iPhone film, “Nian,” received unprecedented global attention including the 2021 Tribeca X Film Festival award for Best Short Film, Adweek’s Brand Storytelling Awards for Best in Show, and a feature in Variety Magazine. Besides iPhone, Brian is responsible for successfully creating the first ever Apple Watch and iPad originations out of China.
Prior to this, he spent 5 years as Executive Creative Director at Leo Burnett Hong Kong before transferring to their Chicago outpost as SVP, Executive Creative Director. There, he was responsible for rejuvenating the Kellogg’s business by injecting fresh digital thinking, at the same time, launching a global campaign for Samsung domestic appliances.
Brian is a multi-award winning creative and highly respected both locally and internationally. His work is recognized at some of the most prestigious advertising festivals including Cannes, where he earned 10 Lions and 18 shortlists across different categories, AICP, Andy, Clio, D&AD, and One Show.
Having worked across three continents (Asia, North America, and Europe) and being immersed in both Eastern and Western cultures, Brian instinctively sees things from a fresh perspective, understanding the importance of nurturing a culture of diversity to bring out the most insightful and intriguing work.
