  • Member since 2002

David is the creative chair of BBDO Guerrero. He loves advertising and has consequently never worked a day in his life. His work has nevertheless won at Cannes, Clio, D&AD, the One Show, LIA, New York Festivals, Spikes, AdFest, AdStars, Kinsale, Design Week, WARC and many other shows – with Grand Prix, Golds, Silvers and Bronzes. These include: “The Dissolving Bottle,” “Pantene: Labels Against Women,” and “It’s more fun in the Philippines.”

Last year, Milflores Publishing took up his 70-page pocket-book entitled “You have to go through a lot of crap to get to good ideas.” Dave Trott praised its art direction, David Droga posed for a picture with it, and Peter Souter, being the lovely person he is, thought the book was excellent. The agency runs a long-established program to train young creatives, called, predictably, The Crap ideas program. At last count there were 14 former employees of the agency running agencies or creative departments in the country and four other global markets.

He is a member of the 4As Board of Trustees, part of the Collective advisory board at AdFest, and serves on the board of Childhope Asia Philippines. He has presented an audio documentary for the BBC and is a graduate of Harvard Extension School with an MLA in Creative Writing. This year was honored with a coveted Lifetime Achievement award by the 4As of the Philippines. He thinks advertising could do with more advocates and is working to promote positive conversations around the business – in his home market and around the world.
