Hi, my name is Eduarda Nieto. I come from a city called Camaçari, which is in the country side of Bahia, Brazil. I graduated in publicity and advertising at ESPM and I did Design at Miami Ad School Brasil.
I have almost 10 years of experience working as an art director and designer, working in agencies of all types and sizes. Nowadays, I see my profile as a hybrid place, as I am interested in strategy, writing and multi-languages in the visual arts.
In my personal work I have always been talking about issues that cross me directly. Being from the interior of the country and identifying myself as a mixed lesbian woman are my main guidelines for my creations as an artist.
In 2019 I developed the first completely free font on lesbian visibility - Sola Type. A font made from the soles of lesbian women's shoes from all over Brazil. It was because of this work that I got a graphite pencil from D&AD as a student and spent 2 months in London with New Blood Academy along with WPP.
Still in 2019 I joined AKQA São Paulo, after spending a season at AKQA in London developing 02 live briefs with Dyson and Design Bridge. At AKQA I worked for two years with Nike, Google, Becks, Netflix, etc.
In 2021 I joined SOKO.CX as a senior designer, where I worked directly with Spotify's global team developing identities for the brand.
I currently work as a senior designer at AKQA Sweden and I continue to do creative consulting, design and art direction work in my spare time.
