Joanna Waller

Joanna Waller

Jo Waller has over 15 years experience in the creative industry. She is currently the Design Direction Manager at Topshop, one of Britain’s most iconic high street fashion brands.

Jo provides the graphic direction for Topshop and oversees a team of designers who together create the global brand vision and visual language across all areas, from branding, designer collaborations, packaging, show invites, store opening campaigns, including experiential marketing and pop up events.

Her team also work closely with Kate Phelen (co-fashion director at British Vogue and Topshops Creative Director) to produce the biannual Topshop magazine.

Jo encourages an open forum for the sharing of ideas and styles and endeavours to work with the best talent in order to keep Topshops graphic aesthetic fresh and evolving. Although the nature of Topshop and its graphics can be transient, Jo values a level of consistency and coherency for brand recognition. She takes a simple approach to design with an element of playfulness and believes good design stands the test of time.

After graduating in 1994 with a degree in Design Communication Jo joined design associates Michael Nash who’s studio predominantly provides Art Direct and design for high end fashion clients, beauty and the music industry.
