Born and raised in Kagoshima. After building his foundation as a camera assistant in Tokyo and Sydney, he started his career as a dop focusing on feature films, documentaries, advertisements, and music videos. He directs music videos, documentaries, and as well.
Recently his artistry led him to the authenticity of organic forms such as water/botany/minerals, their beauty, and their natural existence as it connects and circulates through nature. He created a installation depicting humans as part of an undivided circulation of nature and exhibited it at various art festivals nationwide.
He also established a label called “SHINSHUN,” which aims to realize a sustainable society by creating a documentary film on Japan’s regional groups and organizations engaging in environmental conservation, regional revitalization, and inheriting traditional cultures. SHINSHUN covers creative direction to production; with a borderless, low-calorie, and compact-style team.
