As the Managing Director of Fjord ANZ, I work with clients to design services that people love. I’m responsible for growing the business, finding and developing the best talent, creating value for our clients through design and innovation, as well as overseeing the work that the team delivers. Central to all of this is understanding and empathising with the end user of a service, be that a customer, citizen or staff member.
I hail from the BBC, where I first had the pleasure of working with Fjord. As Head of Design and User Experience, I led the project that delivered the BBC’s Global Experience Language for all of their digital products. After 15 fabulous years in the UK I decided to return to Australia where I joined Massive Interactive as Global Director of Experience & Design. Massive specialise in creating digital experiences for the entertainment, media, travel and airline industries.
At Fjord, we work with a variety of clients across all industries from commercial through to government. I'm passionate about using design thinking and creativity to reframe big, fuzzy problems. By combining a human-centred approach with service design methodologies, we have helped some of the world’s leading businesses to make complex systems simple and elegant. We guide companies on their journey of digital transformation looking at the customer and employee experience and we use those rich insights to deliver solutions to market that make people’s lives easier and better.
Alongside my Fjord family, I have a husband and two little boys to keep me busy, along with two chickens, a vegetable patch and cocker spaniel named Cookie. I love exploring Sydney's beaches, taking the kids camping and enjoying a glass of wine with good friends.
