Takeshi is leading PR-based integrated communication department that helps Japanese companies expand their business internationally and global companies enter Japan market, leveraging his PR experience for over 15 years. He has very diverse industrial experience such as automobile, electronics, FMCG, mobile, online platform, healthcare, and travel / hospitality. He is in charge of Hakuhodo's strategic alliance with Ketchum, and is board member of Hakuhodo Group PR company, Ashton Consulting.
Takeshi has led Locomo Challenge campaign, which won PR Grand Prix at ACC (Japanese biggest creativity awards), Golden SABRE Award for Institutional Image, and PR & Healthcare Silver Spikes in 2018. He launched NPO with Japanese Orthopaedic Association to raise awareness of Locomotive Syndrome (walking disability of elderly people, nicknamed Locomo) that is one of the most serious healthcare issues for Japanese society. The NPO has engaged over 30 healthcare companies and achieved 80% Locomo awareness among females in their 70's. Anti-Locomo market grew to 1.3 billion USD in Japan and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare listed it as one of national health goals.
He earned BS / MS at University of Tokyo and MBA at University of Michigan by Hakuhodo's sponsorship, and won Media Gold Spike, PR Silver Lion, and Cannes Lions Masters of Creativity Competition. He led 100 tours (approx. 3,000 people) to summit of Mt. Fuji as guide qualified by local government during college days, and enjoys reading mystery novels and sous vide cooking.
