Miharu Matsunaga [Hami] is a Creative Director and Senior Art Director whose work connects Japan and Sweden.
Starting her career as a graphic designer before transitioning into art direction, Miharu has earned over 40 international awards, including wins at Cannes Lions, ADFEST Grand Prix, One Show, NY ADC, and the D&AD Yellow Pencil.
Miharu believes in the power of visual design to tell meaningful stories, challenge conventions, and create cultural impact. She works in the design, branding, and advertising industries, where she uses her skills to develop ideas and create nonverbal language to solve challenges facing clients. Her global perspective was shaped in Sweden, where she worked with renowned agencies such as North Kingdom, B-Reel, and Bedow, and attended Hyper Island. These experiences led to her signature style—merging Scandinavian simplicity with Japanese solidity.
She is currently a key figure at Dentsu Inc. and Drill Inc., two of Japan's leading creative agencies, where she continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression and strategic communication.
