Tom Purser is the Head of Campaigns and Public Engagement at the National Autistic Society. Tom has worked for the NAS for over 6 years in a variety of roles including helping local authorities implement the Autism Act, delivering training to parents and professionals, supporting local campaigning and providing script input to Holby City, The A Word and other films and TV shows.
In his current role he leads the NAS’ Campaigns & Public Engagement Team which delivers, amongst other things, support to the NAS’ network of Branches, the Autism Friendly Award and the Too Much Information campaign.
Whilst Tom could quite easily while away his days with nothing other than books, films and TV he has a young family, including an autistic son with whom he also loves spending his time walking the dogs, playing football and, occasionally, watching a film.
