Simoné (Bosman) Bobo founder and Executive Producer of Osu Creative Production
The road to being the hardest working Executive Producer in the industry started in Simoné’s city of origin, Cape Town. With her BA in Film & Media from UCT, Simoné was to pave a way for the best ideas through her producing. Today, Simoné Bobo is the Founder & Executive Producer of South Africa's new integrated production company, Osu Creative Production.
Her passion for production and collaborating with talented creatives has been the instrumental vehicle for her growth. She has been a TV Producer at leading Ad agencies from Saatchi & Saatchi Cape Town to Ogilvy Joburg. She has produced work that has scooped a few birds, pencils and lions. During her years at agencies, Simoné has learnt a great deal about what makes great advertising. Having worked alongside top industry creatives, as well as on renowned brands, Simoné saw the need to become the conduit for new eyes and ideas, particularly in the talents of black film directors and photographers - thus opening the creative economy to be more inclusive.
Facing the realization that digital platforms are fast overhauling transitional media, Simoné believes that we need to have the very generation we are speaking to, be the creators of the content. Every frame and every second needs to be meticulously considered and creatively crafted. "Your ad or content piece is only relevant, until black twitter makes a meme, gif or hashtag out of it" says Simoné Bosman.
