Half Austrian, one quarter Argentine, and one quarter Brazilian, Sophie Schonburg is one of the most respected and admired creative professionals in Brazil. Before joining Africa in 2017 as a creative director and later becoming ECD, working for major Brazilian advertisers such as Vivo, Telefônica, Banco Itau, and Natura, she spent 19 years at Almap BBDO. She also led the creative departments at Pereira & O'Dell and mcgarrybowen in São Paulo. During this period, she was responsible for successful campaigns for brands like Havaianas, VW, Visa, Pepsi, GE, Bayer, FCA, Uber, Maggi, Intel, Microsoft, and Unicef.
Her leadership and strong creative presence at Africa Creative contribute to the agency's consistent placement in international rankings as one of the most awarded globally. In this year, she played a pivotal role in doubling the operation of the Natura account within the agency. While she has received numerous national and international awards, Sophie considers her two sons, Francisco and Caetano, as her proudest achievements.
