As one the youngest Vice Presidents in Brazil, Rafael leads the creative and production department of the biggest agency in the country. Which gives him the challenge and the opportunity to work with the most important advertisers in Latin America including Vivo, LG, Danone, Bic, Honda, Santander, Petrópolis and more.
He started his career in his native Rio de Janeiro before moving to Portugal where he did some of the country’s most awarded and celebrated work. Back in Brazil, he worked at TBWA and served as a Vice President at Africa, Omnicom’s Group biggest agency in Brazil.
At VMLY&R Sao Paulo, his role is to lead the team on multi-channel brand communication projects developing strategies, implementing campaigns and discussing business plans with the clients.
Among some of his most important awards are 45 Cannes Lions, 8 Pencils at D&AD and 2 Grand Prix at Clio Sports. He is also part of the Global Creative Board of VMLY&R, a screenwriter on a Sundance nominee feature film and a Miami Ad School Tutor.
